On April 28, as the International Labor Day approached, the 2026 "Model Workers and Craftsmen Assisting Enterprises" event in Taizhou Bay New Area officially commenced. This initiative aims to further promote the spirit of model workers, labor, craftsmanship, and land reclamation, supporting the high-quality leapfrog development of the new area. Model workers, skilled volunteers, and representatives from participating enterprises gathered on-site, with volunteer efforts empowering businesses and craftsmanship driving intelligent manufacturing.

 The meeting announced the outstanding models emerging in the new district over the past year. In 2026, Taizhou Bay New District achieved one national-level honor and three provincial-level honors. Among them, the R&D Center of Fangyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of "National Workers' Pioneer," while Chen Guo and others from Zhejiang Wenxin Electromechanical Manufacturing Co., Ltd. received the "Zhejiang May 1st Labor Medal." The Technology Center of Huaqiang Fantawild Tourism Development Co., Ltd. was honored with the title of "Zhejiang Workers' Pioneer.".  

    During the event, participants visited the construction site of the new district's land-island intermodal terminal project, the low-altitude flight service center, and the Taizhou Model Workers and Artisans Museum, gaining a firsthand understanding of the district's industrial development momentum and the cultural heritage of model workers.

In the afternoon of that day, model workers and craftsmen at all levels formed a volunteer service team to go deep into the front lines of various enterprises, carry out point-to-point and face-to-face volunteer services and technical assistance, accurately resolve bottlenecks and difficulties in enterprise production and operation, transformation and upgrading, and innovative development, and effectively deliver exquisite practical skills, excellent management experience, and cutting-edge innovative ideas to the front lines of the industry, using volunteer power to help enterprises improve quality and efficiency. The first team was led by Zou Zhibo from Feizhou Group Co., Ltd., along with three model workers including Guo Rui and Wang Xiaoxin, to provide technical assistance services to Liaoyuan Cable Group Co., Ltd. They focused on four major issues: flame retardant material selection, product research and patent breakthroughs, copper conductor sampling discoloration, and quality control of the outer sheath of large section steel strip armored cables. Through discussions and communication, they clarified confusion and provided on-site guidance to optimize solutions, helping the enterprise solve production and research pain points, improve production quality and innovation capabilities. The second team was led by Lin Chengfeng, the captain of the Model Worker Volunteer Service Team of Taizhou Baida Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., and team member Wu Ting and technical backbone went to Zhejiang Chaoli Machinery Tools Co., Ltd. to carry out activities. The two sides focused on the technical problem of "extending the service life of cold extrusion molds", deeply exchanged experiences, shared practical achievements, and jointly explored practical solutions, providing strong technical support for enterprises to improve production efficiency and optimize product quality.

The precise service model of "enterprise ordering, union dispatching, and expert acceptance" has become a major highlight of this year's "model worker craftsman assistance to enterprises". Guo Haibin, Vice Chairman of the New Area Federation of Trade Unions, introduced that this year's plan is to solve key technological bottlenecks for no less than 6 small and medium-sized enterprises, organize special activities such as technical consultations, process improvements, and skill training. Synchronize the promotion of the "Famous Teachers Leading Apprentices" campaign, plan to pair more than 50 pairs throughout the year, and continuously enrich the reserve force of model workers and craftsmen. 

At the same time, the new area will take "matchmaking, problem solving, self recommendation, and task implementation" as the starting point, optimize the incentive and guarantee mechanism for volunteer services, stimulate the enthusiasm of model workers and craftsmen to work, and let the spirit of model workers shine on the front line and the spirit of craftsmanship take root in the industry, injecting inexhaustible craftsmanship energy into the construction of Taizhou Bay New Area as an important growth pole for the Yangtze River Delta land sea open and intelligent manufacturing strong city.
